America's Largest Community Bicycle Ride - October 2017

Join us for a spooooky (but fun!) ride when America's Largest Community Bicycle Ride next rides on Friday night pre- Halloween, October 27, 2017. Don't forget your costume! Bring your fellow ghouls and goblins. Thousands of our fellow cyclists will ride through the streets of the Greater Los Angeles area. The difference this month is there will be lots of Superheroes, vampiresses, and cartoon characters pedaling in the pack.

Dress up yer bike! Dress up yerself! Bring some candy! Get some candy! By the time we roll, it'll be dark, the leaves will be flying, and it'll be extra spoooky! Seriously, feel free to ride in costume. Creativity encouraged provided costumes are appropriate for all ages and family friendly. Please ensure for your safety, that of your fellow cyclists and those we pass along the way that your ability to see is not impaired and nothing will get caught in the wheels or on others.

Yes, it’s Halloween time so cobble together a costume, climb onto your bike, and roll with us through the streets. To attend, levitate over to the start point of the ride at Wilshire Blvd and Western Ave, Los Angeles, California at 6:30pm, and the ride rolls at 7:29pm.  As usual, there will be at least two rest stops along the way, with snacks, and drinks available at Support Vehicles and then we will ride to the usual end point of the ride at Sunset Blvd and Western Ave, Los Angeles, California 90027.  Invite your friends and family.  Spread the word so others can also ride together with us.

Nearly four thousand cyclists choose to ride together, meet others and make new friends while discovering the greater Los Angeles area.  The rides celebrate bicycling and encourage cycling as a leisure activity, as a sport or as a means of transportation.

You have all kinds of riders: the semi-pros with their thousand dollars bikes; the off-hour bike messengers that didn't get enough cycling for the day; the hobbyists; the curious with whatever bike they have - from Cannondale, Trek, Schwinn to a classic, Huffy; the wannabe costumed super-heroes (2 Spidermen) & cosplayers ( Chun-Li, animals like bears including a panda); and my favorite - the avant artist cycling fans, with their tricked-out bikes (some glowing bright, some taller than others, and some blasting sound waves)
